Bring Die With Zero to your book club.

Die With Zero flips the “save more, spend less” script — which is exactly why it starts arguments. The math is concrete enough to debate (the 26× survival threshold, the 26–35 inheritance window, time buckets by decade), but the questions underneath it are personal: how much is enough, when do you start spending, and what are you actually optimizing for?

It also reads differently across generations. FIRE members arrive defending aggressive saving and discover Bill agrees with most of it — until 45. Parents confront the “give while you live” argument and rethink estate planning. Retirees find permission to spend what they spent a lifetime accumulating. Every group brings a different lens, and that’s where the discussion gets interesting.
